Catholic Charities USA Annual Conference

The 2023 Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) Annual Gathering, held in Cleveland, Ohio, was themed "Widening the Welcome." This event, a vital annual gathering of the nationwide Catholic Charities network, attracted more than 500 registered participants. The conference spanned from October 3 to 5 at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown and was marked by a variety of educational and networking sessions, plenaries, and a special Mass at St. John the Evangelist Cathedral. This gathering was an opportunity for Catholic Charities professionals, volunteers, and partners to come together and strategize about poverty reduction, celebrate their shared identity, and advance their work​​​​.

The conference kicked off with learning labs, meetings, vendor exhibits, and site visits to several Catholic Charities ministries in Cleveland, including the Fatima Family Center, Hispanic Senior Center, and Migration and Refugee Services. Attendees also enjoyed a diverse range of breakout sessions covering topics such as social public policy, services for asylum seekers, mental health care in rural parishes, human services agencies' role in unlocking second chances, disaster response, housing support services, and more​​​​.
